Exegesis of His saying, the Exalted: (And We have made your sleep a rest)

Allah the Exalted said:
And made your sleep [a means for] rest
[Al-Naba: 9] Meaning: it cuts off fatigue. Sleep cuts off the fatigue that preceded it, and through it a person gains new energy for the future. Therefore, you find that when a man becomes tired and then sleeps and rests, his energy is renewed. This is a blessing, and at the same time it is among the signs of Allah, as He the Exalted said:
And of His signs is your sleep by night and day and your seeking of His bounty
[Ar-Rum: 23] .
