What is the ruling on one who delays the prayer because of sleep?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : His EminenceThe Shaykh : What is the ruling on delaying the prayer because of sleep?

The Shaykh : What do you mean by sleep?

The questioner : No one woke me up, and I slept.

The Shaykh : I mean, it was beyond one's control, yes. Praise be to Allah. If a person does not pray because of sleep, he owes nothing. When he wakes up, he prays, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Whoever sleeps through a prayer or forgets it, let him pray it when he remembers it. من نام عن صلاة أو نسيها فليصلها إذا ذكرها
Whoever sleeps through a prayer or forgets it, let him pray it when he remembers it. There is no expiation for it except that. من نام عن صلاة أو نسيها فليصلها إذا ذكرها لا كفارة لها إلا ذلك
And because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was traveling, and they slept through the Fajr prayer until the sun rose, and the heat of the sun woke them up, so they prayed it afterwards. However, it is obligatory for a person, when he intends to sleep, to take precautions by setting an alarm clock or instructing someone to wake him up. As for sleeping like that while knowing that if he falls into deep sleep, he will not wake up until late, he has been negligent. Do you understand? But sometimes a person hears the alarm clock, hears the time, but does not know if he is sleeping or not? Is this a dream, meaning is he sleeping, is this a dream, or is this waking up? So he remains in his sleep. The important thing is that as long as he is excused by sleep, he prays when he wakes up, and there is no blame on him. Yes.
