As for the man, he may cut his head or shave it. As for the woman, if she cuts her head so that it is like a man's head, or cuts it in the manner of the immoral women or the disbelievers, then this is forbidden. As for the first case, it is because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the women who imitate men, and as for the second case, it is because of his saying (peace and blessings be upon him): (Whoever imitates a people is one of them) .
