Ruling on performing the Friday prayer for one who has left his town for travel or a leisure trip

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
A group of people went out to a place twenty or thirty kilometers from the city, and the time for the Friday prayer came upon them. Is it permissible for them to perform the Friday prayer?
It is not permissible to perform the Friday prayer outside the town, whether a person goes out for travel or for a leisure trip. This is because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not perform the Friday prayer while traveling. Even on the Day of 'Arafah, which is the greatest gathering of people, he (peace and blessings be upon him) did not perform the Friday prayer. So if someone gathers for the Friday prayer in such a case, inform him—may Allah reward you—that it is obligatory for him to repeat the prayer. If he is a traveler, he repeats it as two rak'ahs, and if he is not a traveler, he repeats it as four rak'ahs.

The questioner: What if, for example, it has been two years or more? The Shaykh: Even if it has been two years or more, the debt is not dropped due to the length of the period.
