The Ruling on Supplication After Prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Some people raise their hands after supplication in the obligatory prayer. What is your opinion?
Supplication after prayer is not a recommended practice,For Allah the Exalted said:
Then when you have completed the prayer, remember Allahفَإِذَا قَضَيْتُمُ الصَّلاةَ فَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ
[Al-Nisa: 103] except in one case, which is the prayer for guidance; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding the prayer for guidance: (When one of you intends to do something, let him pray two units and then supplicate) so he made the supplication after the two units, whereas in other prayers, it is not a recommended practice to supplicate, whether one raises his hands or not, and whether in the obligatory or voluntary prayer; because Allah commanded His remembrance after the completion of the prayer,So He, the Exalted, said:
Then when you have completed the prayer, remember Allahفَإِذَا قَضَيْتُمُ الصَّلاةَ فَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ
[Al-Nisa: 103] ,And He said in Surat al-Jumu'ah:
And when the prayer has been concluded, disperse within the land and seek from the bounty of Allahفَإِذَا قُضِيَتِ الصَّلاةُ فَانْتَشِرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَابْتَغُوا مِنْ فَضْلِ اللَّهِ
[Al-Jumu'ah: 10] .

And it is only said to the person: If you want to ask Allah for something, supplicate to Allah before you conclude the prayer; For two reasons: The first reason: This is what the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) commanded,So he said in the tashahhud: (When he has finished, let him choose whatever supplication he wishes) .

Second: When you are in prayer, you are conversing with your Lord, and when you conclude the prayer, the conversation ends,So is it better: Should you ask Allah while you are conversing with Him, or after you have turned away from the conversation?Answer: The first: You supplicate while you are conversing with your Lord.

And as for the saying of the one praying after he finishes the prayer: I seek forgiveness from Allah three times, this is supplication, but it is connected to the prayer; because a person seeking forgiveness three times after finishing the prayer is a patching up of the defects that occurred in the prayer, so it is actually a repetition of the prayer.

The questioner: O Shaykh, they argue with the hadith that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) turned to the believers and raised his hands after finishing the Fajr prayer.
What is the authenticity of the hadith?Answer: It is not reported, and if it is reported, it is weak.
