Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (You are only a warner to those who fear it)
Allah the Exalted said: [An-Nazi'at: 45] Meaning: You do not have knowledge of it, but you are a warner. (To those who fear it) means: those who fear it, and they are the believers. As for the one who denies it, considers it unlikely, and lies about it, then the warning will not benefit him: [Yunus: 101] For this reason, we say: You do not ask when you will die or where you will die; because this is a matter that does not require asking. This is a settled matter that must happen, and however long your life in this world lasts, it is as if you had remained for only one day.But as Allah the Exalted said here: [An-Nazi'at: 46] But the question that must come to mind,And you must have an answer to it, which is: In what state will you die?! I do not want you to ask: Are you rich or poor? Strong or weak? Do you have dependents or are you childless? But: In what state will you die in terms of your deeds? If you ask yourself this question, you must prepare; because you do not know when death will surprise you. How many people have gone out to drive their cars and been brought back carried on shoulders,And how many people have left their families saying: saying, "Prepare me lunch or dinner," and not eating it. And how many people have put on a shirt and buttoned it, and only the washer unbuttoned it before washing it. This is a matter witnessed by everyone through incidents.
!! Suddenly, in any state. You should look now and think: in what state will you die? We ask Allah to grant us and you repentance and turning back to Him.
For this reason, you should seek forgiveness from Allah as much as you can, for seeking forgiveness brings relief from every worry and an exit from every distress.Until some scholars say: If a person asks you for a ruling, seek forgiveness from Allah before you issue the ruling to him; because sins stand between a person and guidance. And he derived that from the saying of Allah, Blessed and Exalted: [An-Nisa: 105-106] .
And this is a good deduction that can also be derived from the saying of Allah the Exalted: [Muhammad: 17] And seeking forgiveness is part of guidance. Therefore, I advise myself and you to be mindful of Allah, to seek forgiveness frequently, and to account for the self, so that we are ready for what we fear may surprise us from death. We ask Allah to make our endings good.
Allah the Exalted said:
You are only a warner for those who fear it.
إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مُنذِرُ مَنْ يَخْشَاهَاBut of no avail will be signs or warners to a people who do not believe
وَمَا تُغْنِي الْآياتُ وَالنُّذُرُ عَنْ قَوْمٍ لا يُؤْمِنُونَIt will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof.
كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوا إِلَاّ عَشِيَّةً أَوْ ضُحَاهَا!!
And he derived that from the saying of Allah, Blessed and Exalted:
(105) Indeed, We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth so you may judge between the people by that which Allah has shown you. And do not be for the deceitful an advocate. (106) And seek forgiveness of Allah. Indeed, Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful.
And this is a good deduction that can also be derived from the saying of Allah the Exalted:
