Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (From what did He create him? From a drop of fluid, He created him and determined him)]
Allah the Exalted said: [Abasa:18] This is a rhetorical question affirming what follows in His saying: [Abasa:19] Meaning: O man! How do you disbelieve in the resurrection? From what were you created? Were you not created from nothing? You were not a thing mentioned before, then you came into existence and became a human being, so how do you disbelieve in the resurrection?And for this he said: [Abasa:19] The nutfah (drop of fluid) is originally: a small amount of water, and what is meant here is the man's ejaculated fluid that comes out from between the backbone and the ribs, which the man deposits in the woman's womb so that she becomes pregnant [Abasa:19] Meaning: He made him determined in stages: a drop of fluid, then a clot, then a lump, as mentioned in the authentic hadith from Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) narrated to us, and he is the truthful and the veracious,So he said: (Indeed, one of you is gathered in the womb of his mother for forty days as a drop of fluid, then he becomes a clot for the same duration, then he becomes a lump for the same duration, then an angel is sent to him, who breathes into him the soul and is commanded with four words: to write his provision, his lifespan, his deeds, and whether he will be wretched or happy. By Him besides whom there is no god, one of you will do the deeds of the people of Paradise until there is nothing between him and it but a cubit, then the decree overtakes him, and he does the deeds of the people of the Fire and enters it. And one of you will do the deeds of the people of the Fire until there is nothing between him and it but a cubit, then the decree overtakes him, and he does the deeds of the people of Paradise and enters it) .
So he is determined in the womb of his mother. Who determines him with this determination? Who provides him with the blood by which he grows, connected to him through the umbilical cord, except Allah (Mighty and Majestic)?And for this he said: [Abasa:19] .
Allah the Exalted said:
From what substance did He create him?
مِنْ أَيِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقَهُFrom a sperm-drop He created him
مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ خَلَقَهُFrom a sperm-drop He created him
مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ خَلَقَهُFrom a sperm-drop He created him and destined for him;
مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ خَلَقَهُ فَقَدَّرَهُSo he is determined in the womb of his mother. Who determines him with this determination? Who provides him with the blood by which he grows, connected to him through the umbilical cord, except Allah (Mighty and Majestic)?And for this he said:
