Ruling on returning the greeting and shaking hands with non-Muslims

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
These are brothers who say: In our workplace, there are Rafidah, Jews, and Christians, and they greet us with a handshake. Should we shake hands with them?
If a Jew, Christian, polytheist, atheist, Shi'ite, or anyone else greets you and shakes your hand, shake his hand.Due to the general statement of Allah the Exalted:
And when you are greeted with a greeting, greet [in return] with one better than it or [at least] return itوَإِذَا حُيِّيتُمْ بِتَحِيَّةٍ فَحَيُّوا بِأَحْسَنَ مِنْهَا أَوْ رُدُّوهَا
[Surah al-Nisa: 86], and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) only forbade initiating the greeting with them. But if they greet you, return their greeting as they greeted you, for this is justice, and the religion of Islam is a religion of justice.
