Raising the voice occasionally in the secret prayers is specific to the imam, not the followers
It is reported in al-Bukhari that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would recite a verse or two audibly. Is this audible recitation specific to the imam, or does it apply to both the imam and the followers? And what are its guidelines?

In the hadith of Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him): (That the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would recite a verse audibly to them occasionally) The one who recites audibly is the imam, occasionally. This audible recitation is either to inform the people that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is reading something after al-Fatihah, or to alert the people somewhat; because if the imam raises his voice in the secret prayers, the people become attentive.
As for the follower, he does not raise his voice for anything, neither for the glorification, nor for the recitation, nor for the takbir. This is why some people make a mistake, especially in the funeral prayer. When the imam says takbir for the funeral prayer, they raise their voices: Allahu Akbar, and some of them do so in the additional takbirs of the Eid prayer,Some of them, when the imam says takbir: Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, raising their voices for the takbir, I mean the followers. This is a mistake. The follower recites quietly, says takbir quietly, glorifies quietly, and supplicates quietly.
