Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (You are not a controller over them)
From this, we understand that it is not obligatory for us to guide the creation, nor are we ever able to guide the creation. We cannot even guide those closest to us. [Surah al-Qasas: 56] So do not be distressed if you mention a person and find him to be stubborn, or disputing, or saying: "I have nothing to do with you."
Or he says: "Let me do what I please."
Or something similar to that,Allah the Exalted said to His Prophet: [Surah al-Shu'ara: 3] Do not destroy yourself if they do not believe. Their faith is for their own benefit, and their disbelief is not your concern.And for this he said: [Surah al-Ghashiyah: 22] Meaning: You have no authority or control over them. Who has authority and control? Allah, Lord of the worlds. Your duty is only to convey the message.
