Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (So whoever wills, let him remember)]
Allah the Exalted said: [Abasa:12] Meaning: So whoever wills, let him remember what has been revealed of the admonition and take heed, and whoever wills to take heed;because of the saying of Allah the Exalted: [Al-Kahf:29] So Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, has given man the choice by way of divine decree, but not by way of the Shari'ah,He gave him the choice between two things: to submit or to disbelieve, but not by way of the Shari'ah; for He is [Az-Zumar:7] , and man is not given the choice by way of the Shari'ah between disbelief and faith, rather he is commanded to have faith, and faith is obligatory upon him, but in terms of divine decree he is given the choice, and it is not as some people claim that he is compelled and forced in his actions, rather this is the statement of an innovator, an innovation introduced by the Jabriyyah from the Jahmiyyah and others, so man is in reality given the choice, and therefore if an act occurs without man's choice, such as if he is coerced, then his action is not considered.
And the important thing is that Allah says: [Abasa:12] Meaning: Let him remember what has been revealed of the revelation and take heed by it,Meaning: and whoever wills, let him not remember it, and the one who is successful is the one whom Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has guided.
Allah the Exalted said:
Then whoever wills will remember it.
فَمَنْ شَاءَ ذَكَرَهُAnd say, "The truth is from your Lord, so whoever wills - let him believe; and whoever wills - let him disbelieve."
وَقُلِ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ فَمَنْ شَاءَ فَلْيُؤْمِنْ وَمَنْ شَاءَ فَلْيَكْفُرْHe is not pleased for His servants to disbelieve
َلا يَرْضَى لِعِبَادِهِ الْكُفْرَAnd the important thing is that Allah says:
