The Sunnah in Wearing a Ring

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Honorable Shaykh! Is it from the Sunnah to wear a silver ring on the ring finger or the middle finger? Please give us a ruling, and may you be rewarded.
The ring finger or the middle finger is the same, and there is no harm in wearing it on either one. But is wearing a ring from the Sunnah? There is a difference of opinion among the scholars regarding this; Some of the scholars said: It is a recommended practice (sunnah); because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wore a ring, and the Companions also wore it, but on the condition that it not be made of gold if it is for men,And some of them said: It is a recommended practice (sunnah) for the one in authority: such as the ruler, the judge, the governor, the mufti, and the like. As for the rest of the people, it is not a recommended practice (sunnah) for them, but there is no prohibition in it.
