Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (And do not call one another by offensive names)]

Allah the Exalted said:
and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknamesوَلا تَنَابَزُوا بِالْأَلْقَابِ
[Surat al-Hujurat: 11] Meaning: Do not call one another by a name,So you say to him, for example: O corrupt one! O sinner! O disbeliever! O drinker of intoxicants! O thief! O fornicator! Do not do this, because if you call him by a name, either the name applies to him or it does not. If it applies to him, you have committed this prohibition. If it does not apply to him, you have falsely accused him and committed the prohibition as well.
