Allah the Exalted said:
Indeed, the righteous will be within gardens and springs.إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
[Al-Dhariyat: 15] This is a declarative sentence, affirmed (by "inna")
Indeed, the righteousإِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ
[Al-Dhariyat: 15] And "al-muttaqin" (the righteous): they are those who feared the punishment of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) by obeying Him—by fulfilling His commands and avoiding His prohibitions—
within gardens and springs.فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
[Al-Dhariyat: 15] "Jannat" is the plural of "jannah" (garden), and it is pluralized with regard to its types and varieties,And it came in the Qur'an in the singular, such as His saying:
And that is Paradise which you are made to inheritوَتِلْكَ الْجَنَّةُ الَّتِي أُورِثْتُمُوهَا
[Al-Zukhruf: 72] and it also came in the plural; it is singular with regard to the genus, and plural with regard to the species, and ("'ayun"): is the plural of "'ayn" (spring), and it means: the flowing rivers,And Allah the Exalted mentioned that they are four types:
rivers of water unaltered, rivers of milk the taste of which never changes, rivers of wine delicious to those who drink, and rivers of purified honeyأَنْهَارٌ مِنْ مَاءٍ غَيْرِ آسِنٍ وَأَنْهَارٌ مِنْ لَبَنٍ لَمْ يَتَغَيَّرْ طَعْمُهُ وَأَنْهَارٌ مِنْ خَمْرٍ لَذَّةٍ لِلشَّارِبِينَ وَأَنْهَارٌ مِنْ عَسَلٍ مُصَفّىً
