Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (Indeed, the righteous will be in gardens and rivers)
Allah the Exalted said: [Surah al-Qamar: 54] This is in contrast to His saying: [Surah al-Qamar: 47-48], [Surah al-Qamar: 54] The gardens: the plural of garden, and Allah the Exalted mentioned four types of them in Surah al-Rahman: [Surah al-Rahman: 46] Then He said: [Surah al-Rahman: 62] So, they are the four that Allah mentioned in Surah al-Rahman. So, (in gardens) means in these four gardens, these types, but their varieties are many, and we interpret the gardens as being, by the Shari'ah, the dwellings of the righteous: (Therein is what no eye has seen, nor an ear has heard, nor has it ever occurred to the heart of any human being) He interpreted the gardens of the Hereafter with this interpretation,It is the one that Allah prepared for the righteous: (Therein is what no eye has seen, nor an ear has heard, nor has it ever occurred to the heart of any human being) But when you read the saying of Allah the Exalted: [Surah al-Qalam: 17] How do you interpret the garden as a garden with many trees,When you read: [Surah al-Kahf: 33] ? You interpret it as a garden with many trees, but you do not interpret the garden of bliss in the Hereafter with this interpretation. If you interpret it with this interpretation, you diminish the desire for it, and its greatness descends in the hearts of people,But say: It is the dwelling that Allah prepared for the awliya (close friends of Allah) (Therein is what no eye has seen, nor an ear has heard, nor has it ever occurred to the heart of any human being) Its inhabitants are the best of humanity: the prophets, the truthful ones, the martyrs, and the righteous, so that souls are motivated to work for it, and so that the ignorant person does not imagine that what is in it is like what is in this world,And his statement: (and a river) means: with those rivers, and Allah the Exalted mentioned four types of them in Surah al-Qital: [Surah Muhammad: 15] These are four types: [Ar-Ra'd 13:35] meaning: describing it (therein are rivers) This is an explanation of the description: (therein are rivers of water, unaltered) meaning: it never changes, neither in turbidity, nor in taste, nor in color, nor in smell (and rivers of milk, whose taste has not changed) Milk in this world, if it is left, its taste changes and it spoils and turns into an unbearable sourness (and rivers of wine, a delight for those who drink) and its delight is not like the delight of the wine of this world,And it does not have any of the defects of the wine of this world: [Surah al-Waqi'ah: 19] (and rivers of honey, purified) -O Allah, make us among those who drink from them- Rivers of purified honey, in which there is no beeswax, nor its harm, purified from all turbidity.
