Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (Or has he not been informed of what is in the scrolls of Musa)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Exegesis of His saying, the Exalted: (Or has he not been informed of what is in the scrolls of Musa)

Allah the Exalted said:
(36) Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses (37) And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] -أَمْ لَمْ يُنَبَّأْ بِمَا فِي صُحُفِ مُوسَى * وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ الَّذِي وَفَّى
[Al-Najm: 36-37] (Or) here is for emphasis,And the meaning is: rather, has he not been informed of what is in the scrolls of Musa,
And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] -وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ الَّذِي وَفَّى
[Al-Najm: 37] Musa is mentioned because Musa is the best of the prophets of the Children of Israel, and the Torah is the book upon which rests the foundation of what was revealed to the Children of Israel. The scrolls of Ibrahim are scrolls that Allah the Exalted revealed to Ibrahim containing admonitions and rulings, but He has not made clear to us anything from them, except that Ibrahim (peace be upon him) was upon the oneness of Allah and upon the straight religion,As Allah the Exalted said:
(120) Indeed, Abraham was a [comprehensive] leader, devoutly obedient to Allah, inclining toward truth, and he was not of those who associate others with Allah. (121) [He was] grateful for His favors. Allah chose him and guided him to a straight path.
[Al-Nahl: 120-121] .
