Ruling on Using Gold and Silver Vessels for Adornment

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The saying of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) in the authentic hadith: (The one who drinks from silver vessels is merely pouring the Fire of Hell into his belly) Does the one who uses silver for adornment fall under this warning? And is it forbidden?

There is scholarly disagreement on this: Some scholars say: Using gold and silver vessels is forbidden whether they are used or not, whether they are used for eating or drinking or for anything else.

But the correct view: It is only forbidden to use them for eating and drinking; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) only prohibited eating and drinking, and the prohibition is specific;Due to the generality of His saying, the Exalted:
It is He who created for you all of that which is on the earthهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ لَكُمْ مَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعاً
[Surat al-Baqarah: 29] So if everything on earth is for us to benefit from where there is no prohibition, then using it for adornment or using it, for example, for something other than eating and drinking falls under that, as permission was given to use it for preserving some medicines and preserving coins and the like. This is the correct view. And if the Messenger only prohibited eating and drinking, his silence regarding other forms of benefit indicates permissibility.
This is what is stronger in my opinion, and there is scholarly disagreement on this issue.
