The ruling on one who gives more than the zakah obligatory upon him

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
His Eminence the Shaykh: A man has real estate and wants to give zakah, so he gave one hundred riyals for every thousand,And after he had given it and finished, it was said to him: he gave twenty-five riyals for every thousand riyals, so what is the ruling on that?
The ruling on that is that whatever he gave in excess is voluntary charity for him,Meaning: If a person gives more than the zakah, thinking that it is what is obligatory upon him, it is voluntary charity. Perhaps Allah the Exalted will reward him with the reward of the obligatory, and the reward of the obligatory is greater than the reward of voluntary acts. Now, he gave one hundred for the thousand, and the voluntary portion is seventy-five riyals. If he had given that as voluntary charity, he would be rewarded for it, but if he gave it as zakah, his reward for it is greater. For the saying of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) in the Qudsi Hadith: (My servant does not draw near to Me with anything more beloved to Me than what I have made obligatory upon him) But consider: if he intended these seventy-five riyals for three future years, is that sufficient or not? It is not sufficient,As the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his family said: (Actions are only by intentions, and every person will have only what he intended) .
