كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ الْمُرْسَلِينَ * إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ نُوحٌ

[al-Shu'ara: 105-106] and after them the people of 'Ad: their brother Hud, and after them the people of Salih and the people of Lut, and it was not mentioned in the story of the people of the palm grove that Shu'ayb was their brother, so what is the reason?

And in another verse in al-A'raf:

And to [the people of] Madyan [We sent] their brother Shu'ayb.

وَإِلَى مَدْيَنَ أَخَاهُمْ شُعَيْباً

[al-A'raf: 85] And the reason for that is: the people of the palm grove are not his people;Therefore he did not say: "their brother" as for the others, they are to their peoples,It was said: (their brother) ;Meaning: in lineage and not in religion, this is the difference.
