Allah the Exalted said:
Sayقُلْ
[Surat al-Tur: 31] in response to their
Waitتَرَبَّصُوا
[Surat al-Tur: 31] and the command here is for threat and challenge,Meaning: Wait for this poet to meet the fate of death, and see whether he dies and his call dies with him, or whether you die and your opposition dies? Thus, (wait) is an imperative verb for challenge and threat as well,
for indeed I am, with you, among the waiters."فَإِنِّي مَعَكُمْ مِنَ الْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ
[Surat al-Tur: 31] meaning: I am also waiting. You wait and I wait to see who the final outcome will be for, and the final outcome became, praise be to Allah, for the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
Say, "Wait, for indeed I am, with you, among the waiters."قُلْ تَرَبَّصُوا فَإِنِّي مَعَكُمْ مِنَ الْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ
[Surat al-Tur: 31] .
