The Reality of Patience at the First Shock
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Patience is only at the first shock) Is this a general ruling for all calamities?
Patience is truly at the first shock; because that is when the person is affected. If he does not exercise patience, there is no benefit. For example: If, when he is struck by a calamity, he immediately tears his clothes and slaps his cheeks,Then he thought and said: I am wrong, then he has missed the reward of the patient, because patience is at the first shock.Because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): (He passed by a woman weeping at a grave and spoke to her, and she said to him: Leave me alone, for you have not been afflicted with what I have been afflicted with) or words to that effect,And when he left, they said to her: This is the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), so she came to apologize. So he said to her: (Patience is only at the first shock).
