The ruling on beating drums and singing at wedding occasions

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Is beating the drum part of the Sunnah at a wedding occasion? And do children beat the drum, or are female singers brought in? And is the Sunnah lewd singing or nasheeds?

The intended meaning of beating the drum and singing is two things: 1/ Announcing the marriage and making it public,Because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Announce the marriage and beat the sieve over it) meaning: beat the drum.
2/ The joy, because when the soul is happy, it likes to be delighted to some extent, so for this reason, a dispensation was granted to her with musical instruments in the form of the drum and singing, appropriate singing, not lewd singing or amorous poetry, and things that arouse desire. And other than the drum, instruments of amusement like the drum, flute, and rabab, and the like, this is not permissible.

The questioner: But are they derived from singing tapes?Answer: It is not permissible to listen to them, but praise be to Allah, there are many nasheeds containing welcome and greeting for those coming to the wedding venue, and that is what is sought.

The questioner: Even if bringing them in is expensive, as the minimum is three thousand riyals?Answer: The issue of extravagance is an error. We look for one for three hundred riyals, may Allah make it easy. And as for extravagance, sometimes one is three thousand and some are ten thousand and some are more, so this is a waste of money.

The questioner: What is obligatory upon the woman's guardian?Answer: It is obligatory upon him to prevent this, and it is also obligatory upon the man's family to agree to his prevention, because the problem is sometimes that the wife's family do not desire this thing,But the husband's family say: We must do for our son what was done for so-and-so's son, sometimes the husband's family do not desire it and the wife's family say: It is obligatory, our daughter is not lacking, we must do what was done for so-and-so's daughter, but the wise person knows how to control the situation.

The questioner: Some women say: I go but I do not care?Answer: Do not go.
