Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (Indeed, your Lord is vast in forgiveness)

Then He, the Exalted, said:
Indeed, your Lord is vast in forgiveness
[Surah al-Najm: 32] This indicates that minor sins are forgiven, and it is established in the Noble Qur'an that minor sins are forgiven by avoiding major sins,So the Exalted and Majestic said:
If you avoid the major sins which you are forbidden, We will remove from you your lesser sins and admit you to a noble entrance [into Paradise].
[Surah al-Nisa: 31] ,And for this he said:
Indeed, your Lord is vast in forgiveness
[An-Najm 53:32]
.

But if we say: al-Lamm, which is a little of the shameful deeds and major sins,So His saying:
Indeed, your Lord is vast in forgiveness
[An-Najm 53:32]
This indicates that if a person repents from major sins, Allah forgives him, as if they had never happened. If he does not repent from them, he is under the will of Allah: if Allah wills, He forgives him, and if He wills, He punishes him with what this major sin deserves.

And there are people from this Ummah who say: That a major sin is not forgiven, and they are the Khawarij and the Mu'tazilah,So the Khawarij and the Mu'tazilah say: That if a person commits zina, he is from the people of the Fire and he is a disbeliever, and if he steals, likewise, and if he drinks intoxicants, likewise, but their statement is invalid,And the correct view is: That the doer of a major sin falls under the saying of Allah the Exalted:
Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills
[Surah al-Nisa: 48] .

If someone were to say: If you say this, you have opened the door wide for committing major sins;Because any person who commits a major sin says: I may be forgiven by Allah, and this is indeed what the common people argue with,He says: If Allah says:
And He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills.
So they will commit major sins and say: Allah will forgive me, so how do you answer him?We answer him that Allah said:
He forgives what is less than thatيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَلِكَ
And He did not say: for everyone,Rather He said: (for whom He wills) Are you now certain that you are among those whom Allah willed to forgive? Is there anyone who is certain of this? No one is certain.

Therefore: There is no argument in this for the people of sins.

Then His saying (the Exalted): (for whom He wills) We know that Allah is Wise; He does not will to forgive the sinner, other than in shirk, unless wisdom requires it,And who among us can say: That the wisdom of Allah requires that Allah forgive me?! No one says this,Rather, if he said this, we would say: That your saying is one of the causes of being held accountable and punished; because you have sworn upon Allah.
