Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (Race for forgiveness from your Lord)]
Then He, the Exalted, said: [Al-Hadid: 21] commands racing, and the command to hasten came in another verse, so a person combines racing: which is running hard while traveling, and hastening: and hastening, which is being the first to do good.
And that is by doing the causes of forgiveness.
And among the causes of forgiveness: That you ask Allah for forgiveness,She says: O Allah, forgive me,Or you say: I seek forgiveness from Allah and repent to Him.
And among the causes of forgiveness: Doing what leads to forgiveness,As the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Whoever fasts Ramadan out of faith and seeking reward, Allah will forgive him what has passed of his sin) and as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said in (Whoever performs wudu' and completes the wudu', then prays two rak'ahs without letting his mind wander in them, Allah will forgive him what has passed of his sin) .
And as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Whoever says: Subhan Allahi wa bihamdihi [Glory be to Allah and His praise] one hundred times, his sins will be forgiven even if they are like the foam of the sea) and the examples of this are many,The important thing is that racing for forgiveness means: What leads to forgiveness, from asking for forgiveness directly,Like saying: O Allah, forgive me, or doing what leads to forgiveness,For example: Fasting Ramadan out of faith and seeking reward, and charity also extinguishes the sin as water extinguishes fire.
Then He, the Exalted, said:
Race for forgiveness from your Lord
