What is the ruling on returning to sins and evil after performing the obligatory Hajj?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The questioner says: O honorable Shaykh, what is the ruling on returning to sins and evil after performing the obligatory Hajj?

The Shaykh : Returning to sins after performing the obligatory Hajj is a great setback, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whoever performs Hajj and does not commit lewdness or sin returns [from his sins] as on the day his mother bore him. من حج فلم يرفث ولم يفسق رجع - يعني من ذنوبه - كيوم ولدته أمه
And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
for A1-Hajj Al-Mabrur there is no reward except Paradise. الحج المبرور ليس له جزاء إلا الجنة
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 933Sahih (Darussalam)
So if he has purified his record with this Hajj, then it is foolishness to darken the record with the evil of his deeds after the Hajj. Likewise, the season of fasting in Ramadan: if a person returns to sins, he has suffered a great loss and a great setback. So he should return to Allah again, seek forgiveness, and repent. The one who repents from a sin is like the one who did not commit the sin, or even better. That is, a person may be in a better state after his sin, if he repents to Allah and seeks forgiveness, than he was before. Have you not seen Adam (peace be upon him)? Allah said about him:
And Adam disobeyed his Lord and erred. (122) Then his Lord chose him and turned to him in forgiveness and guided [him]. وَعَصَى آدَمُ رَبَّهُ فَغَوَى * ثُمَّ اجْتَبَاهُ رَبُّهُ فَتَابَ عَلَيْهِ وَهَدَى
[Taha 20:121-122]
This selection and the guidance through repentance occurred after the sin. So a person may be in a better state after a sin than he was before, if he repents to Allah, returns, and realizes that he is in need of Allah (Mighty and Majestic).
