The first message in this episode is one that reached the program from South Yemen, sent by one of the sisters from there. The listener, Iman, our sister, says: If I want to perform the obligatory Hajj and my father refuses, should I obey him or should I go on the journey?
Answer: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon the Messenger of Allah, upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance.
As for what follows: Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) has made obligatory upon His servants the Hajj to His Sacred House, and He made it one of the five pillars of Islam, as He said (peace and blessings be upon him) in the authentic hadith:Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2609Sahih (Darussalam) It is agreed upon as authentic, and it is also established in the authentic collections from the hadith of 'Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him): Musnad Ahmad 367, 368Lts isnad is Sahih, Muslim (8).
And Allah says in His Noble Book, and He is the most truthful of speakers: [Al-Imran: 97].
So it is obligatory for all Muslims who are capable of performing the Hajj to perform it once in a lifetime; because he, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about that, and he said, peace and blessings be upon him:Bulugh al-Maram 720.
So if you, O questioner, are able to perform the Hajj in terms of money, your father has no right to prevent you, and it is not permissible for you to obey him in that; because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said:Sunan Abi Dawud 2625Sahih (Al-Albani), and he said, peace and blessings be upon him: Mishkat al-Masabih 3696.
So it is obligatory for him to help in this, to be happy with your Hajj, and to assist you in it. As for prevention, he has no right to prevent you, if a mahram who can travel with you is available, such as a brother, husband, uncle, maternal uncle, or others from the mahrams.
And you should strive to take his feelings into account and seek his permission, and reach that through the relatives you see fit, so that there is nothing between you and your father. And if he is a Muslim, he will be pleased and he will return to the right path, if Allah wills. And we ask Allah for you and for him success and guidance.

As for what follows: Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) has made obligatory upon His servants the Hajj to His Sacred House, and He made it one of the five pillars of Islam, as He said (peace and blessings be upon him) in the authentic hadith:
Islam is based upon five: the testimony of La Ilaha Illallah, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, the establishment of the Salat, giving the Zakat, fasting (the month of) Ramadan, and performing Hajj to the House.
Islam means to bear witness that there is no god except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), to establish regular prayer, to pay zakali, to fast Ramadan and to perform pilgrimage to the House (the Ka`bah), if you have the means.
And Allah says in His Noble Book, and He is the most truthful of speakers:
And [due] to Allah from the people is a pilgrimage to the House - for whoever is able to find thereto a way. But whoever disbelieves - then indeed, Allah is free from need of the worlds.
So it is obligatory for all Muslims who are capable of performing the Hajj to perform it once in a lifetime; because he, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about that, and he said, peace and blessings be upon him:
Hajj is obligatory only once in one’s lifetime. Whatever one does over and above this is supererogatory (a voluntary act) for him.
So if you, O questioner, are able to perform the Hajj in terms of money, your father has no right to prevent you, and it is not permissible for you to obey him in that; because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
Obedience is in matters which are good and universally recognized.
A creature is not to be obeyed when it involves disobedience to the "Creator.”
So it is obligatory for him to help in this, to be happy with your Hajj, and to assist you in it. As for prevention, he has no right to prevent you, if a mahram who can travel with you is available, such as a brother, husband, uncle, maternal uncle, or others from the mahrams.
