The Shaykh : May he be sealed with a bad ending, and I seek refuge in Allah, because his heart is attached to this world and he has forgotten the Hereafter and forgotten Allah (Mighty and Majestic). So we say to this father, who is afflicted with this trial, and I seek refuge in Allah: demanding from people and consuming people’s wealth unjustly, fear Allah in yourself. And I remind you of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Sunan Ibn Majah 2323Sahih (Darussalam) and I seek refuge in Allah. And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sahih Muslim 1610a this piece will be a collar around his neck on the Day of Resurrection, the day when the first and the last will witness it, it will be a collar around his neck, and I seek refuge in Allah. And how much is the measure of that day? Fifty thousand years. So he must repent and return the rights to their owners from what he took without right. As for the second matter: his treatment of those who advise him from among his children, sons or daughters, or brothers who advise him: it is obligatory for the one who is advised to be grateful to the one who advised him, because no one has done a greater favor to another than an advice that benefits him in his religion and his worldly life. How does he respond to the advice, and I seek refuge in Allah, with cursing and insults? Rather, we heard in the question that he insults the religion, and I seek refuge in Allah. He insults the religion that his daughter commands him with. Insulting the religion of Allah is disbelief that expels one from the religion. If this man died upon this insult, he would be eternally abiding in the Fire of Hell, and I seek refuge in Allah. Neither wealth nor sons would benefit him. So he must review himself and repent to Allah, and the door of repentance is open, and praise be to Allah. Allah (Mighty and Majestic) says: [Az-Zumar 39:53-59] These are great verses. This father should recite them with attention, reflection, and contemplation, so that perhaps Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) may reach him with His mercy and favor. We ask Allah to accept our repentance and his, and to guide him to His straight path. Indeed, He is capable of all things. Yes.
