Some shop owners perform the Friday prayer in a mosque that ends early, then open their shops next to another mosque that has not yet finished

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : It is said: Some shop owners perform the Friday prayer in a mosque that ends early, then open their shops next to another mosque that has not yet finished, and those shops remain open next to that mosque. What is the ruling on this? Should they be rebuked?

The Shaykh : This falls to the authority of the Hisbah (religious police) regarding whether to rebuke them or not. As for performing the Friday prayer, they have already performed it, and they are not required to perform it again. However, it is not at all recommended that they open their shops in a market where there is a mosque where people are praying Friday, because this contains an element of defiance and indifference, and it also leads to a bad opinion of them. What I see is that they should strive to pray in the mosque that is near their shops, so that when the people leave, they can leave as soon as they finish, as Allah the Exalted said:
And when the prayer has been concluded, disperse within the land and seek from the bounty of Allah فَإِذَا قُضِيَتِ الصَّلاةُ فَانْتَشِرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَابْتَغُوا مِنْ فَضْلِ اللَّهِ
[Al-Jumu'ah 62:10]
As for allowing them to open their shops while the mosque next to them is still praying, this falls to the Hisbah. Yes.
