The Shaykh : We return to the saying of Allah the Exalted: [Al-Mutaffifin 83:5-6] From where do they stand up? They stand up from their graves for the Lord of the worlds. Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, did not mention how they will stand up, but in other verses and hadiths it is explained that they will stand up in haste: [Al-Ma'arij 70:43] And He, Mighty and Majestic, said: [Ibrahim 14:42-43] Their hearts will be in a state of panic, empty. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sunan an-Nasa'i 2084Sahih (Darussalam) How many descriptions are there? How many, O brothers? Al-Mustadrak lil-Hakim 49:36 Barefoot: those who have no sandals or leather socks on their feet. Naked: those who have no clothes on them. Uncircumcised: those who have not been circumcised — circumcision means purity; the foreskin is cut off in circumcision. On the Day of Resurrection, it will return; the person will be restored to what was missing from him, as He, Mighty and Majestic, said: [Al-Anbya 21:104] In a state of panic: the scholars said this means they will have no wealth with which to ransom themselves or free themselves. People will be gathered in this state. Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Allah, help us on this day. The matter is greater than that. If you wish for this to become clear to you, read the saying of Allah the Exalted: ['Abasa 80:33-37] You and your brother in this world are affectionate toward each other; some of you take refuge in others, and some of you find comfort in others. This is also the case with the mother and the father, and with the spouse and the son. But on the Day of Resurrection, what happens? A person will flee from these people. The scholars said that the meaning of their fleeing is out of fear that they will be held accountable for their rights. The father will flee from his son, fearing that his son will say: "O my father, you neglected my upbringing." And so it is with the rest; they fear that these people will argue against them with rights they will demand from them on the Day of Resurrection. May Allah protect us and you from the painful punishment. For this reason, He described it here, saying: [Al-Mutaffifin 83:5-6] And His saying: Who is meant by "the worlds"? Everyone other than Allah is a creation. We read in al-Fatihah: [Al-Fatihah 1:2] Who is the Lord of the worlds? It is Allah. Who are the worlds? They are everything other than Allah, because there is nothing but the Lord and the created. The Lord is the One, the Unique, and everything other than Him is created. For this reason, the Shaykh al-Islam Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Wahhab (may Allah have mercy on him) said regarding "the worlds": "Everyone other than Allah is a creation, and I am one of that creation".
