Question:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise is for Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon the leader of the white-faced ones, our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and upon his family and all his Companions. O Allah, teach us what benefits us, benefit us with what You have taught us, and increase us in knowledge, O the Generous. We welcome our brothers and sisters with the warmest welcome to this noble and blessed gathering that brings us together with His Eminence, the scholar, Salih ibn Fawzan al-Fawzan, a member of the Council of Senior Scholars and a member of the Permanent Committee for Scholarly Research and Ifta. Welcome, Shaykh Salih, to our brothers and sisters. The Shaykh: May Allah greet you and bless you. The presenter: We begin with the reflections and the exegesis of this final verse in the saying of the Truthful One (Blessed and Exalted is He). I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan. In Surat al-Zumar: (And you will see the angels surrounding the Throne, glorifying the praise of their Lord, and judgment has been rendered between them with the truth, and it was said: All praise is for Allah, Lord of the worlds).

Answer: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise is for Allah, Lord of the worlds. Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) says to His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), describing what will happen on the Day of Resurrection. He (Exalted and Majestic is He) says: (And you will see the angels), meaning you will see the angels who carry the Throne. (And you will see the angels surrounding the Throne), meaning close to the Throne from all its sides. (Surrounding the Throne, glorifying the praise of their Lord), they purify Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) from any imperfections or defects that do not befit Him, and they describe Him with absolute perfection, free from any defect or shortcoming. (And you will see the angels surrounding the Throne, glorifying the praise of their Lord, and judgment has been rendered between them), meaning between the creation. (And judgment has been rendered between them with the truth), so Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) judged between His creation with the truth, in which nothing of falsehood or injustice is found, but rather it is a just judgment from Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). (And judgment has been rendered between them with the truth, and it was said: All praise is for Allah, Lord of the worlds). This conclusion is praise of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He), first in His saying (Glorified and Exalted is He): (All praise is for Allah, who created the heavens and the earth and made the darknesses and the light), and finally in this verse: (And judgment has been rendered between them with the truth, and it was said: All praise is for Allah, Lord of the worlds). So He began His creation with praise and concluded it with praise, because He is the One to be praised in every state, and because He (Glorified is He) is the One worthy of praise and commendation for the attributes of perfection with which He is described, including justice in judging between His servants on the Day of Resurrection, such that He does not wrong anyone, but rather He rewards every worker for his deed, and He accepts the repentance of whom He wills (Glorified and Exalted is He) and increases them from His bounty. This is part of His justice, His excellence, and the perfection of His attributes (Glorified and Exalted is He). (All praise is for Allah, Lord of the worlds). He has complete lordship over all the worlds, the entire upper world and the lower world. He is their Lord (Glorified is He), having no partner in that.
