The Meaning of the Saying of Allah the Exalted: "Do not those people think that they will be resurrected for a Great Day? The Day when people will stand before the Lord of the Worlds."

The Shaykh : Allah the Mighty and Majestic said: [Al-Mutaffifin 83:4-5] [Al-Mutaffifin 83:6] How will they stand? They will stand as Allah the Mighty and Majestic described them in His saying: [Al-Anbya 21:104] "They will come as they were created in the wombs of their mothers, barefoot, naked, and uncircumcised." Likewise, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) described the standing of people on the Day of Resurrection as being barefoot, meaning

The Shaykh : complete, meaning not wearing shoes, naked? Naked, brother, meaning not

The Shaykh : clothed... uncircumcised
The student: Not circumcised
The Shaykh : Not circumcised. Good, and circumcision is well known. In some wordings of the hadith, the scholars said that the meaning of *bihama* is that they have no wealth with them, because Allah said: [Al-An'am 6:94], Good. [Al-Mutaffifin 83:6] Barefoot, naked, and uncircumcised, and the sun will draw near to them until it is a mile away. The narrator said: And whether it is this or that, the sun is close. If a person asks how people can remain when the sun is this close to them?
The answer is: The conditions of the Hereafter are not measured by what?
The student: By the conditions of this world
The Shaykh : By the conditions of this world. Does a man in Paradise look at his palace in Paradise, which is a journey of two thousand years, and see its farthest point as he sees its nearest point? But in this world, is he able to do this or not?
The student: ...
The Shaykh : He is not able. So your duty regarding what Allah and His Messenger informed about from the matters of the unseen is to say: "We believe and we have affirmed," and do not say "how" or "why," because this is not for you to decide. Matters are greater than you imagine, so the conditions of the Hereafter cannot be measured by the conditions of this world.
On the Day of Resurrection, the believers' light will proceed before them and on their right hands, and the place is one, yet the disbelievers are in darkness. Some people sweat until the sweat reaches their ankles, some to their knees, some to their waists, and some are restrained by it, and they are all in one standing place, in one location, yet they differ in this way. So what is our position regarding this difference? What is our position?
The student: Affirmation
The Shaykh : Affirmation, and not measuring the conditions of the Hereafter by the conditions of this world. They differ. The Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, is above everything, high above everything, and He descends in the last part of the night to the lowest heaven and says:Sahih al-Bukhari 1145 Is it possible for you to say "how does He descend while He is high above everything?" No, your duty is to say "We believe and we have affirmed." As for "how" and "why" in matters of the unseen, this does not concern you. And what harm did the people who denied such matters suffer, except that they measured the unseen by the present, visible reality, so they went astray and led others astray. Had they followed the path of faith, affirmation, and submission, they would have been safe from these innovations they introduced regarding the names of Allah, His attributes, and the matters of the Day of Resurrection.
[Al-Mutaffifin 83:6] Then Allah divided the people in this surah into two groups: the righteous, and their opposite, the wicked, and He explained the reward of each one. And what concerns us from this verse is the saying of Allah in this surah
(4) Do they not think that they will be resurrected (5) For a tremendous Day -
ألا يظن أولئك أنهم مبعوثون ليوم عظيمThe Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds?
