What is meant by the phrase in the witr supplication, "Indeed, He does not humiliate the one He befriends, and He does not honor the one He opposes"?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :
He whom Thou befriendest is not humbled إنه لا يذل من واليت ولا يعز من عاديت
Sunan Abi Dawud 1425Sahih (Al-Albani)
And this is like an explanation of what we said previously:
And He befriends those whom He befriends وتولنا فيمن توليت
.
So if Allah befriends a person, he is not humiliated, and if Allah opposes a person, he is not honored.
The meaning of this is that we seek honor from Allah, and we seek protection from Allah the Exalted against humiliation, by Allah the Mighty and Majestic.
And we limit ourselves to this extent of what is said in the qunut supplication.
