What is the interpretation of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (Those who are heedless of their prayer)?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is the interpretation of the saying of Allah the Exalted:
[But] who are heedless of their prayer - الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنْ صَلاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ
[Al-Ma'un 107:5]
?

The Shaykh : Its interpretation is that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) has warned the praying people who are heedless of their prayer, meaning they are negligent of it and do not perform it in the manner required of them. They waste its times and neglect its obligations, and they leave the congregational prayer despite it being obligatory upon them, among other things that cause their heedlessness regarding their prayer. If this warning is for those who pray while being heedless of their prayer, how much more so for those who do not pray at all? That is greater and more severe. We have clarified on more than one occasion in the sessions of this program that whoever abandons prayer out of negligence and laziness becomes a disbeliever, a disbelief that takes him out of the religion. Yes.

The questioner : The listener says, "O Shaykh Muhammad."
