The questioner : The Shaykh, may Allah reward you: Allah the Exalted said in Surat al-Ma'un: [Al-Ma'un 107:5]: Does this include those who are precise in setting the clock for work but not for the Fajr prayer? What is your guidance for them, O Shaykh?
The Shaykh :[Al-Ma'un 107:5] It has been mentioned to us previously that they are negligent in its obligations, whether it is Fajr or 'Asr, as is common with some people, may Allah protect us from that. In the Fajr prayer, they do not get up until the time for work arrives, and in the 'Asr prayer, since they come to have lunch and need to sleep, they do not pray until the sun sets. These are among those about whom Allah mentioned: [Al-Ma'un 107:5]: whether they set the clock for work or not, the important thing is that they are wasting the prayer.
[But] who are heedless of their prayer -
