Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Yes?

The questioner: Peace be upon you.

The Shaykh: And upon you peace.

The questioner : How are you, my sir?

The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah, I am well.

The questioner : I am from the Baqa camp.

The Shaykh : You are welcome.

The questioner : And my master, Shaykh Yusuf Jibril.

The Shaykh : Yes?

The questioner : My master, Shaykh Yusuf Jibril.

The Shaykh : Welcome, welcome!

The questioner : How are you?

The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah.

The questioner : I want to ask you a question.

The Shaykh: Go ahead.

The questioner : So, a colleague of mine, his situation became one of anger between him and his wife, so he threw the oath of divorce at her and...

The Shaykh : I did not understand!!

The questioner : By saying: A dispute arose between a man and his wife.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : So he threw the oath of divorce at her.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : Meaning he said to her: You are divorced, and he was angry, and the clash and quarrel caused it.

The Shaykh : Why doesn't he ask, my brother?! Because in these personal matters, there are delicate issues, and he must ask himself!!

The questioner : By Allah, he is here, shall I let him speak with you?

The Shaykh : Yes, let him speak.

The questioner: Go ahead.

Another questioner: Peace be upon you.

The Shaykh: And upon you peace.

The questioner : How are you, Shaykh?

The Shaykh : You are welcome.

The questioner : By Allah, I am the one Shaykh Khalil told you about.

The Shaykh : Yes?

The questioner : I am the person, meaning, who is speaking about this.

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner : So I was at home, a bit upset, and the matter is as you say, so I got angry and I said to her, and I was in a state of anger, very intense, I said to her: You are divorced three times, you will not remain in the house, divorced three times, and I cursed, may Allah forgive me, the Great, our Lord!!

The Shaykh : Was there anyone there?

The questioner : No, just me and her.

The Shaykh : Just?! Do you pray?!

The questioner : I pray, praise be to Allah.

The Shaykh : Do you keep up the prayer?

The questioner : I keep it up very strictly.

The Shaykh : Which one?

The questioner: Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.

The Shaykh : Okay, does she agree with what you are saying now?

The questioner : No, by Allah, she is a bit upset, and she remained sitting in the house, meaning.

The Shaykh : She didn't answer me, may Allah guide you!!

The questioner: Huh?

The Shaykh : I am telling you: This speech that you are saying now!

The questioner : Hmm.

The Shaykh : If we asked her, would she say what you are saying?

The questioner : Oh, let me ask you: Shall I bring her to you?

The Shaykh : Do not bring her to me before anything else, answer me.

The questioner : Yes?

The Shaykh : You are saying: That when you spoke this speech, you were angry!

The questioner : I was angry.

The Shaykh : Does she testify to this speech?

The questioner : Oh, yes, she testifies.

The Shaykh : Is she with you?

The questioner : Oh, she is in the house.

The Shaykh: Huh?

The questioner : Oh, in the house.

The Shaykh : Where in the house, I am telling you: Is she with you?

The questioner : Yes? In the house, she is in the house.

The Shaykh : My brother, is she with you now?

The questioner : Oh, in the second room.

The Shaykh : Okay, can you bring her?

The questioner : Oh, a moment.

The Shaykh : Oh God.

The questioner : Hello, peace be upon you.

The Shaykh : And peace be upon you, your husband is saying: That when he threw the divorce at you, he was in a state of anger, is this speech true?

The questioner : Oh, this speech is true.

The Shaykh : Is it authentic?

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : Okay, and was there no one with you except you and him?

The questioner : No, just me and him.

The Shaykh : Oh, give him to me.

The questioner : Hello.

The Shaykh : My brother.

The questioner : Yes?

The Shaykh : I am advising you, a piece of advice.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : And before the advice, I tell you: There is no divorce between you and your wife.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : Because this is the divorce of the angry one, and it does not take effect!

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : Did you understand me?!

The questioner : I understand you, Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Oh, but I advise you that the second time, do not return to divorcing in a state of anger, because most of the sheikhs today will not listen to you if you say: By Allah, I was angry and I divorced my wife three times.

The questioner : It is the first time, my master. The Shaykh .

The Shaykh : They differentiate -listen to what I am telling you- understand me, first time, second time, this is not our issue, our issue is that if you ask the sheikhs: That I divorced my wife and I was angry, they will tell you: You divorced her.

The questioner: Correct.

The Shaykh : Do you understand?

The questioner : I understand you...

The Shaykh : Therefore, you will not always be safe.

The questioner: Correct.

The Shaykh : The second time, do not divorce her in a state of anger, hold back your nerves.

The questioner : If Allah wills.

The Shaykh : And the Messenger - peace be upon him - says:
The strong one is not he who overpowers people and defeats them, but the strong one is he who controls himself when angry ليس الشَّديد مَن يصرع الناس ويغلبهم ، إنما الشديد مَن يملِكُ نفسه عند الغضب
.

The questioner: Correct.

The Shaykh : Oh, and therefore I say: You repent to Allah - Mighty and Majestic - from the foolishness that came out of you, and you seek forgiveness from your Lord, and your wife is lawful to you as you were before, but I admonish you not to be among the ignorant again!

The questioner : If Allah wills.

The Shaykh: Is it clear?

The questioner : Clear, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh: Peace be upon you.

The questioner : Okay, may Allah reward you with good, Shaykh!

The Shaykh : You are welcome.
