What is the ruling on one who works with employees in a company who curse and insult; should he leave the job or enjoin good and forbid evil?

The questioner: Does his work become corrupt, or should he enjoin good and forbid evil?

The Shaykh: What do you mean? Does his work become corrupt?

The questioner: I say, for example, he works in a company or a shop, the owner of the business ... .

Another questioner: And the employees curse and insult.

The Shaykh: The answer is in his saying (peace be upon him):
He who amongst you sees something abominable should modify it with the help of his hand; and if he has not strength enough to do it, then he should do it with his tongue, and if he has not strength enough to do it, (even) then he should (abhor it) from his heart, and that is the least of faith. من رأى منكم منكرًا فليغيِّره بيده ، فإن لم يستطِعْ فبلسانه ، فإن لم يستطِعْ فبقلبه ؛ وذلك أضعف الإيمان
Sahih Muslim 49a
, meaning, can this person who works in the company educate the managers of the company or the workers in the company? The answer is: No, he cannot. But he can speak a kind word, which is the third level in enjoining good and forbidding evil,
let him change it with his hand; if he cannot, then with his tongue فليغيِّره بيده ، فإن لم يستطع فبلسانه
Sunan an-Nasa'i 5008Sahih (Darussalam)
, and this is often possible. However, this also varies from person to person. Perhaps a person is illiterate, cannot read or write, is not a scholar, and is not well-versed in jurisprudence, and he does not know how to give advice or speak well; so in this case, his limit is the third and final level, which is that he should disapprove with his heart, and that is the weakest of faith. As for not disapproving at all, not even with the third and final level, that is a very serious matter; because the Messenger (peace be upon him) says in another hadith:
And there is not a speck of faith beyond that. وليس وراءَ ذلك ذرَّةٌ من الإيمان
