What has spread is that many Muslims, when asked: Where is Allah? say: Allah is everywhere, or He exists in all of existence?

The questioner : This kind of erroneous understanding that has spread among Muslims, and even among some of the elite, has also spread regarding the attribute of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). Many Muslims, if you ask them, say: Allah is everywhere, or He exists in all of existence, and they know nothing about this matter.

The Shaykh : This is clear misguidance! Despite the explicit Qur'an stating: , and His saying (the Exalted): , and His description of His believing servants who worship their Lord from above them. Yes?

The Shaykh, yes, , , many verses and many hadiths clarify that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) is the One who is free of need from all the worlds, and that He is above all His creation, and that He is not mixed with His creation as these people you mentioned say that Allah is everywhere. Allah is everywhere (the Exalted) — Allah is far above what the wrongdoers say, in great exaltation!
In the authentic hadith: , and where is the place where they have crammed people into every location? Especially these places, which contain pure places, and impure and foul places, containing sewers, bars, taverns, and inns, and so on?! How do they not purify Allah (Mighty and Majestic) from being in every place, while He says in more than one verse, as we mentioned, that He is established over the Throne? And in the authentic hadith — and time is short — that the Messenger (peace be upon him) asked a slave girl whom her master wanted to free; he said to her: . She said: In the sky. He said to her: . She said: You are the Messenger of Allah. So he turned to her master and said to him: . The slave girl in the time of the Messenger was more knowledgeable than many of the jurists today; because if you ask many of these people: Where is Allah? they answer you: Everywhere, and one person sits saying: Allah exists in all of existence. Poor these people! Existence is created, and Allah was while there was no created thing. So did our Lord, after He created the created thing, sneak into this created thing with all its filth? Allah is far above what the wrongdoers say, in great exaltation.
