The Shaykh : And I pray and send peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions. As for what follows:
Since we are in this night, the night of Friday, corresponding to the 23rd of Kanun, it is appropriate that we mention what concerns the day of Friday.
The day of Friday is the festival of the week to which Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, guided this Ummah, and led astray from it the Jews and the Christians. The Jews had the day of Saturday, and the Christians had the day of Sunday. As for this Ummah, Allah the Exalted guided them to this blessed day, in which the creation began, in which the creation ends, in which the Hour will stand, and in which there is an hour that no Muslim servant who is standing in prayer, asking Allah for something, will coincide with it without Allah giving it to him.
