Clarification of the issue that Muslims must hasten to break their fast and not delay it, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "My community will remain in a state of well-being as long as they hasten to break their fast."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Perhaps everyone is recalling with me the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
My community will remain in a state of well-being as long as they hasten to break their fast. لا تزال أمتي بخير ما عجلوا الفطر
Sunan ad-Darimi 2:28
. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) was on a journey and fasting
When the sun set, he immediately said to the mu'adhdhin: "Call the adhan." He said: "O Messenger of Allah, the day is still before you." فلما غربت الشمس فورا قال للمؤذن: أذن، قال يا رسول الله أمامك النهار
, meaning the light of the day had not yet completely disappeared; the sun had just set. He told him
Go down and prepare the food. انزل فاجدح
, "Prepare something to eat, whatever you call it, a mixture, something like that, prepare what we will break our fast with." The narrator says
Even if one of us were to ride his camel, he would see the sun. حتى لو أن أحدنا ركب على ناقته لرأى الشمس
, meaning there is no delay, as some claim out of caution. No, our Lord loves it when His servants hasten to break their fast
My community will remain in a state of well-being as long as they hasten to break their fast. لا تزال أمتي بخير ما عجلوا الفطر
Sunan ad-Darimi 2:28
. When does this hastening occur? Immediately after the sun sets. If you see the sun descending slightly, half, a third, or a quarter of the last part, I will break my fast automatically, for it is more beloved to Allah than delaying, because this means hastening to accept the hospitality of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), for whom we were fasting, and He is now commanding us to break our fast. Just as we abstained from food in obedience to Him, we also take food in obedience to Him. This is a word that may contain a reminder and benefit, if Allah wills.
Al-Halabi : I would like to mention something.

The Shaykh : Please go ahead.
Al-Halabi : May Allah reward you with good. You reminded us recently of an incident that happened to him regarding this in Na'our. Once the mu'adhdhin called the adhan and the sun had not set, and another time the mu'adhdhin called the adhan and the sun had set. In two instances in the same town, the sun was still up and the adhan was being called, and in another instance, the sun had set and the adhan had not been called. This confirms the professor's words, may Allah reward him with good, regarding the issue that the astronomical calculation is what they rely on, not the issue of the horizon, the sun, and the dawn. May Allah reward you with good, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : In fact, many of you probably know Sa'ib Mosque at the Seventh Roundabout. The imam of the mosque told me some years ago during Ramadan that, since the adhan is unified, they hear the adhan from their minaret while the sun is still in front of them, even in the same Amman. Yes, meaning what I saw in Na'our, others saw at the Seventh Roundabout.
Please go ahead.
