The ruling on the fasting of one who broke his fast upon the adhan of one who called before the sun set

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Your Eminence! In Ramadan, the adhan for Maghrib was called, and it turned out that the sun had not set. Those who heard it ate and broke their fast. Do they have to make up this day?
No.
They do not have to make up this day. Why? Because those who broke their fast, if they did not see the sun, had relied on the adhan of the mu'adhdhin, and they are excused. And if they could see the sun, they thought that the criterion is the adhan, so they are also ignorant. Therefore, nothing is required of them.

The questioner: They were inside a building; they were not outside where they could see the sun.

The Shaykh: Nothing is required of them.
Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred.رَبَّنَا لا تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِنْ نَسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا
[al-Baqarah:286] Praise be to Allah who has made things easy for us.But if they knew, for example: If we suppose that they went out and saw the sun, they must abstain. If they knew that the sun had not yet set after they had eaten, they must abstain. Even the mouthful in their mouths, they must spit it out.
