If the owner of a farm sells his wheat crop via a forward sale, is it permissible for him to store it in the silos under his own name so that the buyer can obtain the price from there?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A questioner asks: If the owner of a farm sells his wheat crop via a forward sale, is it permissible for him to store it in the silos under his own name so that the buyer can obtain the price from there?

The Shaykh : It is obligatory for the Muslim to be truthful and clear in his selling and buying and in all his affairs. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Both parties in a business transaction have the right to annul it so long as they have not separated; and if they speak the truth and make everything clear they will be blessed in their transaction; but if they tell a lie and conceal anything the blessing on their transaction will be blotted out. البيعان بالخيار ما لم يتفرقا فإن صدقا وبينا بورك لهما في بيعهما وإن كذبا وكتما محقت بركة بيعهما
Sahih Muslim 1532a
Therefore, it is not permissible for the farm owner to store his crop, which he sold via a forward sale, in the silos of another person under his own name, meaning under the name of the farm owner. This is because this wheat was not his property; rather, its ownership has transferred to the buyer. When this happens, we say that both parties must repent to Allah and not return to such a practice. Yes.
