What is the ruling on men wearing gold-colored, ornate watches that resemble women's jewelry?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward the honorableThe Shaykh : In recent times, it has become widespread among young men, and even among some of the committed, to wear watches with gold colors and shapes that greatly resemble women's jewelry. If you cannot visualize the shape, choose five people from the audience, and I think you will find one of them wearing a watch of this kind. What is the ruling on wearing it? Is this considered imitating women? I ask that a word be directed to the youth regarding the matter of extravagance and regarding not imitating women.

The Shaykh : I hope that I will not find this in fifty of you or more, and I think it is not present. Whoever has one of these with him now, let him show it to us so that we can rule on the thing after visualizing it. Is there anyone among you who has something of this? The questioner: Is this one? No, do not say it is gold; its color is the color of gold. No, this one is far from resembling women. This one is close. The apparent reality is that there is no doubt that Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) distinguished between men and women in the matter of adornment. He said, Mighty and Majestic:
(19) And they have made the angels, who are servants of the Most Merciful, females. Did they witness their creation? Their testimony will be recorded, and they will be questioned. (20) And they said, "If the Most Merciful had willed, we would not have worshipped them." They have of that no knowledge. They are not but falsifying.
[Az-Zukhruf 43:19-20]
And He said, Mighty and Majestic:
And when one of them is given good tidings of that which he attributes to the Most Merciful in comparison, his face becomes dark, and he suppresses grief.
[Az-Zukhruf 43:17]
What is the example they struck? They made the angels female. So He said:
(17) And when one of them is given good tidings of that which he attributes to the Most Merciful in comparison, his face becomes dark, and he suppresses grief. (18) So is one brought up in ornaments while being during conflict unevident [attributed to Allah]?
[Az-Zukhruf 43:17-18]
Who is the one raised in adornment? That is, who is brought up in adornment? It is the woman, and she is not clear in dispute. As for the man, he is complete in himself, does not need to be completed, and he is clear in dispute, possessing eloquence and defense of himself. So how does he lower himself to be like a female? For this reason,
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) cursed those men who are in the similitude (assume the manners) of women and those women who are in the similitude (assume the manners) of men.
Sahih al-Bukhari 5885
The watch that is not worn except by women is not permissible for a man to wear, whether its color is white, red, or black. The important thing is that if it is called a women's watch, it is not permissible for men to wear it. As for if it does not resemble women's watches but has some gold in it, we look at it: if this gold is merely a color, it is not forbidden, but the man is advised not to wear it so that he is not suspected and so that he is not imitated. But if it has gold with substance that it has been plated with, then that is forbidden for men, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding silk and gold:
This is forbidden for the males of my Ummah
Sunan an-Nasa'i 5147Sahih (Darussalam)
Yes.
