Is there a specific time limit within which a person may perform the Farewell Tawaf, or is the matter open-ended?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He asks: Is there a specific time limit after which he may perform the Farewell Tawaf, or is the matter open-ended? And is it permissible for a person to remain for hours after the Farewell Tawaf, especially to purchase some necessities or gifts, or what should he do?

The Shaykh : The answer to the first part is that if a man comes as a pilgrim for 'Umrah, performs tawaf, sa'y, and shortens his hair, this suffices for him in place of the Farewell Tawaf, and there is no need for a farewell. However, if he stays, even for an hour, he must perform the farewell. It is also recommended that he not buy anything after it, even if it is among the things he needs. He should buy the things he needs before he performs tawaf, and then perform tawaf. This is the best, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that tawaf be the last thing
then let the last of his acts be at the House فليكن آخر عهده بالبيت الطواف

. But if, for example, he performed tawaf and then walked, and on the way he saw something he liked that he needed and bought it, there is no blame on him. Likewise, if he performed tawaf and left, and some of his companions were delayed and he sat to wait for them, there is nothing wrong with that. Yes.
