The questioner : May Allah reward the honorableThe Shaykh : I am a young man who commits a sin after the whispers of Satan. Every time I commit this sin, I repent to Allah with a sincere repentance, but each time I return to that sin and repent again. What is your advice for me, and what guidance do you have for me?

The Shaykh : My advice to you is to be sincere with Allah in your repentance, and Allah will help you. I tell you that whenever you commit a sin and seek Allah's forgiveness and repent to Allah with a sincere, pure repentance, and resolve not to return to it in the future, then Allah will accept your repentance, no matter how much you have done. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
If you had not committed sins, Allah would have taken you away and brought a people who commit sins and seek forgiveness, so Allah would forgive them. لو لم تذنبوا لذهب الله بكم وجاء بقوم يذنبون ويستغفرون فيغفر الله لهم
Praise be to Allah for His blessings; it is a great blessing. So strive to ensure that your repentance is pure and that you refrain from this sin. However, if your self overpowers you and you then repent a second time, Allah will accept your repentance.
