Leaving the recitation of the Qur'an due to being busy, knowing that I read it continuously in Ramadan; what is the ruling on that?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The questioner says: I left the recitation of the Qur'an, knowing that I read it continuously in Ramadan, due to being busy; what is the ruling on that?

The Shaykh : You owe nothing if this busyness prevents you from reading the Qur'an. It is well known that a believer cannot leave the recitation of the Qur'an, because he will read the Qur'an in the prayer: he reads al-Fatihah and whatever is easy, and he reads the daily recitations from the noble verses, such as the Verse of the Throne, "Say, He is Allah, the One," the two chapters of protection, and two verses from the end of Surat al-Baqarah, and the like. However, with this, you should maintain at least half a juz' per day, and this is not a difficult matter. Reading half a juz' in ten minutes does not occupy a person with much effort. So seek help from Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and maintain a specific recitation that you read every day, even if it is at bedtime.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
