The Shaykh's remarks on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Praise is to Allah; we praise Him, seek His help, and seek His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil of our own souls and from the badness of our deeds. Whomsoever Allah guides, none can mislead, and whomsoever He leaves to mislead, none can guide. And I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger. As for what follows: The best of speech is the speech of Allah, the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and the worst of matters are their innovations. Every innovation is a religious innovation (bid'ah), every religious innovation is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Fire. My remarks this pleasant evening, if Allah wills, are regarding a hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and a report (athar) from Imam Malik, the Imam of the City of Migration (may Allah have mercy on him). As for the hadith, it is his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
When you trade by way of the buy-back sale (‘inah), accept the tails of cattle, be content with agriculture, and abandon jihad in the cause of Allah, Allah will impose upon you a humiliation that He will not remove from you until you return to your religion. إذا تبايعتم بالعينة وأخذتم أذناب البقر و رضيتم بالزرع و تركتم الجهاد في سبيل الله سلّط الله عليكم ذلا لا ينزعه عنكم حتى ترجعوا إلى دينكم
. The point of this hadith is the last phrase: “Allah will impose upon you a humiliation that He will not remove from you until you return to your religion.” The report (athar) aligns with this phrase from the hadith, and it is the saying of Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him): “Whoever introduces into Islam an innovation that he considers good has claimed that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) betrayed the message. Read the saying of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He):
This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion. اليوم أكملت لكم دينكم وأتممت عليكم نعمتي و رضيت لكم الإسلام دينا
[Al-Ma'idah 5:3]
. And the end of this Ummah will not be set right except by what set right its beginning. So whatever was not a religion at that time will not be a religion today.” So, the hadith addresses the Muslims when they are humiliated, colonized, and enslaved by all the disbelieving states, even those that did not have a state in ancient times, but were rather scattered individuals in the lands of the world. Those are the ones upon whom humiliation and poverty were imposed, and who earned the anger of Allah, namely the Jews. We have reached this time in which parts of the lands of Islam have been occupied, including Palestine, which the Jews occupied, and now…
