Explanation of the Hadith: "When you trade with 'inah, and are content with the harvest, and abandon jihad, Allah will impose upon you a humiliation that He will not remove from you until you return to your religion"

The Shaykh : Another hadith came that clarifies the subject more clearly, and it says:
When you trade with 'inah, and take the tails of cows, and are content with the harvest, and abandon jihad in the cause of Allah, Allah will impose upon you a humiliation that He will not remove from you until you return to your religion
This hadith is very, very important in the present age because it describes the disease along with the cure. It described the cure with these four things: dealing in riba through 'inah, selling through 'inah. Perhaps you all know what 'inah sale is, or at least we should be cautious in our speech so that we do not wrong people. It must be that one or two of you, if Allah wills, with this small number, do not know what 'inah sale is. And the Messenger says, addressing the Arabs like you:
When you trade with ‘inah
'Inah is when a man comes to a merchant, pretending that he wants to buy a need. Let us suppose he wants to buy a car, but in reality he does not want to buy a car. In reality, he wants a loan, but he knows that he lives in a society that is Islamic in name and not Islamic in reality. The proof is that the Islamic society was described by the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) in the famous hadith in the authentic collections:
The believers in their mutual love and mercy are like one body. If one part of it complains, the rest of the body responds to it with sleeplessness and fever, or with fever and sleeplessness
So, it is supposed that in an Islamic society, if one of its individuals falls into a calamity or a disaster, and this disaster requires him to borrow money, to find someone to lend him a loan for the sake of Allah, a good loan, he does not find today anyone to lend this good loan. Why? Because of the disintegration of the society, some of it from some. And therefore, he resorts to a scheme. He goes to the merchant and says, "I want to buy this need," let us say it is the car, "for how much?" The merchant begins to violate the Shari'ah by offering two sales in one sale. He says, "This is for ten thousand cash, and for installments, add five hundred or a thousand." Today, he says, "No, I do not have money." He says to him, "Then for eleven thousand." He does not have even a thousand. He came to take money. He says to him, "I bought it for eleven thousand." And after a little while, through checks and bills of exchange and the like, the buyer becomes the seller and the seller becomes the buyer. So the buyer says, "In reality, my brother, I want to sell you this car. Buy it from me." The merchant knows that he is in need of money, so he sells it to him at the lowest price. Let us suppose the capital of the car for the merchant is nine thousand cash, and he profits a thousand on installments, or a thousand and a half, for example. So he goes back and buys it from him for eight thousand. He profits twice now. He takes eight thousand and goes on his way. This is 'inah sale. And this exists in some Arab countries where hopes were pinned on them that true Islam would spring from there. 'Inah sale: sacks of rice and sugar are bought in this way and then sold, and these sacks did not move from their warehouses. The Messenger says:
When you trade with ‘inah
Meaning, did you eat riba?
And you take the tails of cows
Meaning, did you be content with the means of the world and earning money? Likewise,
And you are content with the harvest, and abandon jihad in the cause of Allah, Allah will impose upon you a humiliation that He will not remove from you
These Jews occupied the Arab Palestinian lands.
He will not remove it from you until you return to your religion
Returning to the religion is the previous answer: beneficial knowledge and righteous action. As for returning to the religion as it is understood today, in what they call "legal schemes," and in what they call "Islamic banks," and in what they call "religious songs" and "Islamic arts," all of them take on an Islamic color, and they have no connection to Islam, neither from afar nor from near. And Allah is the One to be sought for help. Also,
And say, "Do [as you will], for Allah will see your deeds, and [so, will] His Messenger and the believers. And you will be returned to the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, and He will inform you of what you used to do."
[At-Tawbah 9:105]
And Allah is the One to be sought for help, other than Him.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : And you likewise

The questioner : Make room
