Mentioning another reason for the prohibition of shaving the beard, and explaining the meaning of fitrah (the innate natural disposition)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : We now move on to: Is there another reason? We say yes. Perhaps you have heard his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
Five things are of the fitrah خمس من الفطرة
and the hadith
Ten things of the fitrah عشر من الفطرة
What is your opinion regarding the word fitrah (the innate natural disposition) here? What is the concept in your mind, at least? And forget the doctors you liked to make us drink with.

The questioner : They did not give their opinion in it, frankly.

The Shaykh : What is your opinion about this fitrah (the innate natural disposition)? Is it permissible to go against it?

The questioner : The fitrah (the innate natural disposition) of Allah by which He created people. I am also going to ask you to clarify the meaning of the word fitrah (the innate natural disposition), because before I give my opinion?

The Shaykh : No, before you ask me, answer me: in what meaning do you understand fitrah (the innate natural disposition)? Simply, Ahmad, in what meaning do you understand it? Tell me...

The questioner : It is the apparent meaning of the verse...

The Shaykh : Allow me.

The questioner : Please go ahead.

The Shaykh : Is it permissible to go against this fitrah (the innate natural disposition)?

The questioner : It is not permissible.

The Shaykh : It is not permissible. Good. So, if leaving the beard to grow is part of the fitrah (the innate natural disposition), what is the result? Is shaving the beard permissible or not permissible?

The questioner : We do not change the fitrah (the innate natural disposition). It is not permissible, of course. If the question is yes, is it not permissible?

The Shaykh : Like this, may Allah reward you, meaning you saved us time and the trip. It is not permissible. So here is a second reason, which is that leaving the beard to grow is part of the fitrah (the innate natural disposition). Suppose all the peoples, the Christians, the Jews, and the Zoroastrians, responded to the fitrah (the innate natural disposition) of Allah mentioned in the noble verse and left their beards to grow. Would the ruling return to us? We have admitted that it is obligatory. Does it become invalid because the ruling is tied to the reason in existence and absence? If the reason ceases, the ruling ceases? No, because it is a second reason that will not cease. As long as Islam exists on the face of the earth, the fitrah (the innate natural disposition) of Allah by which He created people remains. From here, everyone who has written on this issue is mistaken, whether those who said that this is a sunnah (recommended practice) or those who said that this is mustahabb (recommended) or those who said it is a customary sunnah (recommended practice). These are the furthest from the truth of all these opinions, because they did not notice, or they noticed and deviated, and the worst of them is bitter. This hadith, which makes the fitrah (the innate natural disposition) that has no change, they made it like scattered dust. He told you it is a custom, meaning if you wish, you do it, and if you wish, you leave it.
