Is it permissible for a mother to perform the adhkar (remembrance of Allah) on behalf of an infant (such as blowing with the Mu'awwidhat and other adhkar, and saying the name of Allah on his behalf when eating)?

The questioner: I mean, O Shaykh, is it permissible for a woman, for example, a mother, to perform from the prescribed adhkar on behalf of her infant son? For example, if she comes to dress him, she mentions the name of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), or if she comes to feed him, she says the name of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). And if she comes to, for example, put him in his bed to sleep, she blows as established in the Sunnah; she blows with the two Mu'awwidhat into her hands and
Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One, قل هو الله أحد
[Al-Ikhlas 112:1]
and wipes. So is it permissible for her to do such actions, meaning to perform the adhkar on behalf of her son?

The Shaykh : It is not permissible. This is excessive strictness in religion. The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say:
The overzealous have perished هلك المتنطعون
And it is sufficient for a Muslim to perform what Allah has prescribed or made obligatory for him of such adhkar for himself, but not for others. Especially if this other person, to use the expression, is a small child who is not accountable. Therefore, it is not permissible for this mother to recite these adhkar on behalf of her non-accountable child. This is the second question.

The questioner: Ah, may Allah reward you, O Shaykh.
