The Shaykh’s evidence for prohibiting seclusion and withdrawal using the hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): “Whoever lives in the desert becomes rough.”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Therefore, it is no wonder that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade in some hadiths the Bedouin who migrated from his desert life to a city of civilization from returning to his former state of desert life. Thus, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said, to emphasize this meaning which we are discussing:
Whoever lives in the desert becomes rough مَن بَدَا جَفَا
.
Whoever lives in the desert من بدا
Meaning: Whoever lives in the desert; meaning, whoever lives the life of the Bedouins,
Whoever lives in the desert becomes rough من بدا جفا
; that is, his nature becomes rough and harsh. So how can a Muslim leave the Muslim community, not mixing with them or associating with them, and live alone, as we mentioned, outside the cities in the wilderness and deserts? In that case, his nature becomes harsh, his knowledge decreases, and the matters of the Shari'ah become inverted and reversed for him.
